Copper Mountain, British Columbia

Copper Mountain was an important copper-mining company town in the Similkameen Country of the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada, just south of the town of Princeton. In 1884 copper ore was discovered by a trapper named James Jameson while out hunting deer. This discovery of copper led to a rush of miners to the area which gave rise to the town of Copper Mountain. The first camps located in the area was "Volacanic" Brown's Camp and E. Voight's Camp.

The Allenby formation is a sedimentary rock formation deposited during the early to early Middle Eocene. It consists of conglomerates, sandstones with interbedded with shales and coal. The coal seams contain an abundance of insect, fish and plant fossils.

Sunday Summit

Sunday Summit is a highway summit along the Crowsnest Highway in British Columbia, Canada. It is the second-highest point on the highway between the cities of Hope and Princeton - the highest being Allison Pass, located to the west. It is located just east of the eastern boundary to Manning Park.
