The Essex Memorial Arena is an ice-hockey arena in Essex, Ontario, Canada. It was constructed in 1960-1961,the capacity of the Essex Memorial Arena is 1,501 and served as the home court for the Essex 73's of the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League from 1973–2009.

Essex (provincial electoral district)

For the federal electoral district of the same name, see Essex (electoral district). Essex is a provincial electoral district in southwestern, Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. It existed from 1867 to 1874 and was re-created in 1999 from Essex South, Essex—Kent and Windsor—Sandwich. When the riding was recreated, it included all of Essex County except for Windsor, Old Tecumseh, St. Clair Beach, Leamington and Mersea Township.

Maidstone, Ontario

This community should not be confused with the former neighbouring Township of Maidstone. Maidstone, Ontario is a small hamlet along Essex County Road 34, in the town of Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada (formerly part of Sandwich South Township, Ontario). The town is home to two schools, ball diamonds, a cemetery, a church, a funeral home, restaurant, community center and a grain elevator along a CN Rail line.
