Timmins Transit provides public transportation services to the City of Timmins in north eastern Ontario, Canada. The system is operated as a department of the City of Timmins, which also owns and operates the Timmins/Victor M. Power Airport. Over the past few years, after a decade of decline, Timmins Transit has experienced some of the fastest ridership growth in the country.

Shania Twain Centre
Opened on June 30, 2001, the Shania Twain Centre was a tourist attraction located in Timmins, Ontario. The Centre was lent memorabilia, awards and many other personal items by Shania Twain, the most prominent person to have come from Timmins. Projected annual attendance was 50,000 but it never reached above 15,000. Annual subsidies to the center cost the city of Timmins $7 per resident, or $33.72 per centre visitor.

Hollinger Park
Hollinger Park is a municipal park in Timmins, Ontario, located at the southeast corner of Algonquin Blvd. and Brunette Road (formerly Park Road). The park is located on the site of what was once Miller Lake. The Hollinger Mine backfilled the lake with mine tailings and it was eventually beautified into one of the City's finest parks.

Gillies Lake
Gillies Lake is a 20 ha lake in the heart of Timmins, Ontario. It is served by a publicly accessible 2.5 kilometres walking trail. A boardwalk offers wheelchair access avoiding a hill climb and Lakeshore Road. This small lake was named after Alex Gillies, a prominent figure in the history of the city. In 1915, the lake was about three times its current size. Since then, mine tailings have taken over what was once the northeast part of the lake.

O'Gorman High School (Timmins)
O'Gorman High School is a Catholic high school located in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. O'Gorman Intermediate School, which is located down the street from the high school, is a feeder school for 7th and 8th graders. It is currently the only school in Timmins where the students wear uniforms.
