Shefford County, Quebec

Shefford County is an historical county in southern Québec, Canada. It is named after Shefford, a small town in Bedfordshire county, England of the same name and is in the Eastern Townships region of Québec. Topographically, part of the county is situated on the western foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The county contains four small lakes, Lake Waterloo near Waterloo, Lake Boivin in Granby Township, Lake Roxton in Roxton Township, and Lake Stukely in Stukely Township.

Yamaska National Park

Yamaska National Park is a provincial park centered around the man-made Choiniere Reservoir. It is located in the municipalities of Roxton Pond and Saint-Joachim-de-Shefford in La Haute-Yamaska Regional County Municipality, just northeast of Granby, Quebec. Its undulating hilly landscape is supported by slate and sandstone bedrock. The main soil is a stony sandy loam podzol which has been mapped as the Racine series—one of the most acidic soils in the area.

Acton Vale railway station

Acton Vale railway station is a former railway station in Acton Vale, Quebec, Canada. The station was built in 1900 by the Grand Trunk Railway and is located at 960 Boulay Street. It was recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada on June 11, 1976. Today it operates as a town tourism office and exhibition centre.

Mont Orford

Mount Orford is a mountain, ski resort and provincial park in the Eastern Townships region of the Canadian province of Quebec, Canada. It is a few minutes away from the town of Magog and one hour from Montreal. The ski resort consists of three summits: Mont Giroux, Mont Orford and Mont Alfred Desrochers, and four sides. It is the home mountain of Olympic medalist Nicolas Fontaine, and there is a glade named in his honour.

CFKS-DT

CFKS-DT is the V owned-and-operated television station in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, operating as a de facto semi-satellite of Montreal owned-and-operated station CFJP-DT. It broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 30 from a transmitter in Orford. Owned by Remstar Corporation, its studios are located on Boulevard Industriel/Route 220 and Boulecard de Portland in Sherbrooke. This station can also be seen on Vidéotron channel 5 and in high definition on digital channel 605.
