Battle of Yamen
The naval Battle of Yamen (also known as the Naval Battle of Mount Ya; simplified Chinese: 崖山海战; traditional Chinese: 厓山海戰) took place on 19 March 1279 and is considered to be the last stand of the Song Dynasty against the invading Mongol-controlled Yuan Dynasty. Although outnumbered 10:1, the Yuan navy delivered a crushing tactical and strategic victory, destroying the Song. Today, the battle site is located at Yamen, in Xinhui County, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, China.

Damang Island
Damang Island is an uninhabited island off the southern coast of Guangdong province in the People's Republic of China. It is located in the Pearl River estuary, South China Sea, 6 kilometers west of the Zhuhai Gaolan Port Economic Zone, 4.5 kilometrs north of Hebao island and approximately 100 kilometers West-Southwest of Hong Kong. Administratively, this sub-tropical island belongs to the prefecture-level city of Zhuhai, and so may be considered part of the so-called Chinese Riviera.
