Qiongzhou Strait

The Qiongzhou Strait, also called the Hainan Strait, is a body of water that separates the Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong, southern China, to the north from Hainan Island to its south. The strait connects the Gulf of Tonkin in the west to the James Shoal on the eastern edge of the South China Sea. Haikou Bay

Haikou Bay is a bay on the northern coast of Hainan Province, China, in the Qiongzhou Strait. It is named for Haikou City, which is situated on the coast. The bay spans approximately 5 km from its eastern boundary at the northwestern tip of Haidian Island to its western boundary at the northern tip of Haikou Xiuying Port.

Baishamen Lighthouse

Baishamen Lighthouse, located on Haidian Island, Haikou, the province of Hainan, China, is the sixth tallest lighthouse in the world, and the second tallest in China. Rising from a 3-storey hexagonal base, this structure is 236 feet tall. This active lighthouse has a focal plane of 256 feet with a white flash every 6 seconds. The triangular, cylindrical tower and base are made entirely of white concrete.

Haikou Century Bridge

Haikou Century Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge in Haikou city, the capital of Hainan province in People's Republic of China. The bridge was built to link the main part of Haikou city to Haidian Island, a district separated from Hainan Island by the Haidian River. Haikou Century Bridge crosses at the mouth of the river approximately 50 metres west of Haikou New Port.
