Daya Bay

Daya Bay, also formally known as Bias Bay, is a bay of the South China Sea on the south coast of Guangdong Province in the People's Republic of China. It is bordered by Shenzhen's Dapeng Peninsula to the west and Huizhou to the north and east. Daya Bay is home to four nuclear reactors, two each belonging to the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant and the Ling Ao Nuclear Power Plant, as well as the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment.

Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment

The Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment is a China-based multinational particle physics project studying neutrinos. The multinational collaboration includes researchers from China, the United States, Taiwan, Russia, and the Czech Republic. The US side of the project is funded by the US Department of Energy's Office of High Energy Physics. It is situated at Daya Bay, approximately 52 kilometers north of Hong Kong and 45 kilometers east of Shenzhen.

Ping Chau

Ping Chau is an island in Hong Kong. It is also known as Tung Ping Chau. Tung (Chinese: 東, meaning east) is prepended to the name so as to avoid possible confusion with Peng Chau, another island in Hong Kong with an identically pronounced name in the Cantonese language. Administratively, the island is part of the Tai Po District in the New Territories.

Mirs Bay

Mirs Bay (also known as Tai Pang Wan, Dapeng Wan, Dapeng Bay) is a bay in the northeast of Crooked Island and Sai Kung Peninsula of Hong Kong. Ping Chau stands in the midst of the bay. The north and east shores are surrounded by Yantian, Kuichong, Dapeng and Nan'ao of Shenzhen, mainland China. Within the bay are smaller harbours or inlets on the Hong Kong side: Starling Inlet Tolo Harbour Crooked Harbour Long Harbour Sai Tin Hoi To the south of Mirs Bay water flows out to the South China Sea.
