Dabu County

Dabu County is a district of Meizhou, Guangdong Province of China. It is a center of Hakka culture. Dabu County (大埔县)control the following zhen(镇,township) - 湖寮镇(Huliao),高陂镇(Gaopi),茶阳镇(Chayang), 大麻镇(Dama), 三河镇(Sanhe), 银江镇(Yinjiang), 光德镇(Guangde), 桃源镇(Taoyuan), 枫朗镇(Fenglang),大东镇(Dadong), 西河镇(Xihe), 青溪镇(Qingxi), 洲瑞镇(Zhourui), 百侯镇(Baihou). Mei River

Fujian Tulou

Fujian Tulou is a type of Chinese rural dwellings of the Hakka is in the mountainous areas in southeastern Fujian, China. They were mostly built between the 12th and the 20th centuries. A tulou is usually a large, enclosed and fortified earth building, most commonly rectangular or circular in configuration, with very thick load-bearing rammed earth walls between three and five stories high and housing up to 80 families.
