Dalian Metro

The Dalian Metro or Dalian Rapid Transit is an elevated rapid transit system in the city of Dalian, China (as of 2012, Dalian does not have a fully underground subway system). The metro opened on 1 May 2003. The system currently in operation consists of 2 lines: Line 3 and Line 7.

Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport

Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport is the airport serving the city of Dalian in Liaoning Province, China. It is located in Ganjingzi District, about 10 km northwest of the city center. In 2010 the airport handled 10,703,640 passengers, making it the busiest airport in Northeast China and the 16th busiest nationwide. The airport is the hub for Dalian Airlines and a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines.

Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning

Liaoning (16), is the first aircraft carrier commissioned into the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). Originally laid down as the Admiral Kuznetsov class multirole aircraft carrier Riga for the Soviet Navy, she was launched on December 4, 1988 and renamed Varyag in 1990. The stripped hulk was purchased in 1998 by the People's Republic of China and towed to Dalian Shipyard in north eastern China.
