Bachu (Maralwexi) County or Maralbexi County is located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China and is under the administration of the Kashgar Prefecture. It contains an area of 118,360 km. According to the 2002 census, it has a population of 380,000.

Kashgar River

The Kashgar (or Kaxgar or Kizilsu) is a river in the Xinjiang province of the China. It has its sources in the eastern parts of the Pamir Mountains, in the border area between China and Tajikistan, and then flows eastwards, passing through the city of Kashgar, which gets its name from the river. The river then flows into the northwestern parts of the Taklamakan desert, to its confluence with the Yarkand River.
