Salamina, Caldas

Salamina is a town and municipality in the colombian department of Caldas. It is located north of the department and has a township called San Felix. It was declared a national monument and historic heritage of mankind. Salamina was founded in 1825 by Fermin Lopez, Juan de Dios Arantzazu, Francisco Marulanda and others. Marmato, Caldas

Marmato is a town and municipality in the Colombian Department of Caldas. Founded in 1540, Marmato has a population of 10,000 people. It is one of the historic gold-mining regions of the hemisphere. The town used to be the home of a large population of Cornish miners, who were drawn to this location from their native land to work the mines.

Aguadas, Caldas
