Jamundí

Jamundí is a town and municipality located in the Department of Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Jamundí is located 23 km south of Cali, the capital of the Department, Valle del Cauca. The average Temperature is 23 grades Celsius. Foundation Jamundi was founded on march of the year 1536,4 months before Cali, by the Spanish colonizers Pedro de Añazco y Juan de Ampudia. The name come from the Cacique Jamundi, chief of the tribe that lived in this territory before the arrival of the Spanish.

Universidad Autónoma de Occidente

The Universidad Autónoma de Occidente (UAO) is a private university, established in 1970. Its first seat was on Champagnat neighborhood, in Cali. In 1999 was finished the building of its new campus located in the south of the city, in the place called Valle del Lilí. It has a second seat in San Fernando neighborhood, specialized on complementary education. UAO has five faculties and 21 undergraduate programs, (2 of them by Dual education system), 12 postgraduate and 7 Master's degree.
