Lacustrino de Tamborcito Wetlands

Lacustrino de Tamborcito Wetlands is a Nature Reserve, part of the Arenal Huetar Norte Conservation Area, in the northern part of Costa Rica about 80 miles north of San José, to the east of Boca Tapada. San Rafael de Guatuso

San Rafael is the capital city of the canton of Guatuso in the province of Alajuela in Costa Rica. It is also the name of the distrito (district) that includes the city. The district of San Rafael covers an area of 304.1 km² (1), and has a population of 7,195. The city lies at an elevation of 50 meters above sea level near the western edge of the San Carlos Plain (Llanura de San Carlos) in northern Costa Rica.

San Carlos is the name of the 10th canton in the province of Alajuela in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 3,347.98 square kilometres, making it the largest canton in the country. It has a population of 137,499 (estimate as of 2003), ranking it fifth. The capital city of the canton is Ciudad Quesada, which is also known as San Carlos.
