Siquirres (canton)

Siquirres is the name of the third canton in the province of Limón in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 860.19 km², and has a population of 56,246. Its capital city is called Siquirres. The canton touches the Caribbean coast between the mouths of the Río Pacuare to the southeast and the Río Parismina to the northwest.

Guácimo

Guácimo is the capital of Guácimo, Limón Province in Costa Rica. This rural town on the east coast of the country has many banana and pineapple plantations. The area is not much visited by tourists. Residents of Guácimo live a simple life, often urging others to remain tranquilo, or relaxed. The town began with the construction of the railway built by West Indian employees of Minor Cooper Keith in the 1880s.
