Lipovac, Croatia

Lipovac is a village located in Srijem, eastern Croatia, at the border with Serbia. It is administratively part of the Nijemci municipality. The population is 1,243 (census 2001). The village is located near the end point of the highway A3, to the south of the Bosut river. During the Croatian war of independence, it was occupied by Serbian forces.

Vukovar-Syrmia County

Vukovar-Syrmia County is the easternmost Croatian county. It includes the eastern parts of Slavonia and western parts of Syrmia regions; but also the lower Sava river basin (Posavina). County seat is Vukovar, on Danube river; and the biggest town is Vinkovci with 33,328 inhabitants. The whole county has 204,768 inhabitants. Other towns include Ilok, Otok and Županja.
