Guantanamo Bay detention camp

The Guantanamo Bay detention camp is a detainment and interrogation facility of the United States military located within Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba. The facility was established in January 2002 by the Bush Administration to hold detainees it had determined to be connected with opponents in the Global War on Terror including Afghanistan and later Iraq, the Horn of Africa and Southeast Asia.

Camp Delta (Guantanamo Bay)

Camp Delta is a permanent detainment camp at Guantanamo Bay that replaced the temporary facilities of Camp X-Ray. Its first facilities were built between February 27 and mid-April 2002 by Navy Seabees, Marine Engineers, and workers from Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root. It is composed of detention camps 1 through 6, Camp Platinum, Camp Iguana, the Guantanamo psychiatric ward, Camp Echo and Camp No.

Camp seven (Guantanamo)

Camp Seven (also known as Camp Platinum) is the most secure camp within the Guantanamo Bay detention camps, in Cuba. Its existence was kept secret for the first two years of its use. It was constructed to hold the fourteen "high-value detainees" who had been held by the CIA, and were transferred to military custody on September 6, 2006.

W.T. Sampson High School

W. T. Sampson High School (W.T.S. ) is the only American high school that is located in a communist country. W.T. S is considered a unit school, which means one or more schools that act as one entity. The high school is located at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. The school is operated by the Department of Defense Education Activity of the United States Department of Defense. W.T.S. is also the oldest DoDDS school. Currently enrolled in W.T. Sampson High School are 104 students.
