Hrabyně

Hrabyně is a village in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic, approx. 20 km north-west from Ostrava and 13 km south-east from Opava. It consists of two parts, Hrabyně and Josefovice, which have cca 1,200 inhabitants altogether. The exact date of the uprise of Hrabyně is not known. However, the first written reference comes from 1377. Hrabyně is an important place for pilgrims. The traditional wake takes place on 15 August every year.

Děhylov

Děhylov is a village in the Opava District, Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It is situated on the Opava River, among Martinov, Dobroslavice and Hlučín on the railway line between Opava and Ostrava. The village has around 700 inhabitants. It covers area about 5,07 km. An integral part of a village form two large lakes, Žabinec and Štěpán.

Technical University of Ostrava

The Technical University of Ostrava (or Vysoká škola báňská – Technická univerzita Ostrava in Czech), is a university located in the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic. The institution was founded on 23 January 1849 as the Mining Academy in Příbram. In 1894 it was promoted to university status and in 1904 it was renamed to Vysoká škola báňská. In 1945 it was moved to Ostrava, then the centre of Czechoslovak mining industry.
