Hradčany Airport
Hradčany Airport (in Czech Letiště Hradčany, often Letiště Ralsko) is a former military airport within the area of Ralsko in Liberec Region, northern Czech Republic. Built toward the end of World War II for the Luftwaffe, it was expanded after the war. In 1968 the Soviet Army took control and set up a large air base here. However, after the Soviets left in 1991, the airport was abandoned and it is now neglected and damaged.

Máchovo jezero
Máchovo jezero is an artificial lake (now 2.84 km²) in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic, near Doksy and Bezděz Castle. During Tertiary a large lake existed at this site (as a remnant of an older sea). During the last Ice Age the lake got drained away leaving only peat bog. Between 1366 and 1367 Charles IV ordered a large pond to be established here. Its older name was Velký rybník (Great Pond, in German Großteich) or Hirschberský rybník (in German Hirschberger Großteich).
