Roseau

Roseau is the capital and largest city of Dominica. With a population of 16,582. it is a small and compact urban settlement, located within the Saint George parish and surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, the Roseau River and Morne Bruce. Built on the site of the ancient Kalinago Indian village of Sairi, it is the oldest and most important urban settlement on the island of Dominica. It is located on the west coast of Dominica, and is a combination of modern and colonial (French Style) architecture.

Government House, Dominica

Government House, located in Roseau, is the official residence of the President of Dominica. Previosuly it was used as the official residence of the Governors of Dominica. The residence of the British governors of the island, and for a time the French, is situated on a low hill to the south of the commercial center of Roseau. Written accounts from the 1790s make mention of various plants and an avenue of trees in the grounds of Government House.

Dominica Broadcasting Corporation

Dominica Broadcasting Corporation (also known on-air as DBS or DBS Radio) is the national radio station of the Commonwealth of Dominica. The service, owned by the local government, is headquartered on Victoria Street in the island's capital, Roseau. The company was founded in 1971 as Radio Dominica, and upon its launch replaced programming provided to the island by WIBS, the Windward Islands Broadcasting Service of Grenada.

Windsor Park (Dominica)

Windsor Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Roseau, Dominica. It serves as the national stadium and is used mostly for cricket matches. Other uses have included the World Creole Music Festival, the Finals of the Calypso Competition and the Miss Dominica pageant. The stadium is of International Cricket Council (ICC) international standard with facilities featuring 12,000 seats, private boxes, a media centre, practice nets, a players' complex, digital score boards and five cricket pitches.
