Boiling Lake
Dominica's Boiling Lake is situated in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park - Dominica's World Heritage site. It is a flooded fumarole 6.5 miles (10.5 km) east of Roseau, Dominica. It is filled with bubbling greyish-blue water that is usually enveloped in a cloud of vapour. The lake is approximately 200 ft (60 m) across. Morne Watt
Morne Watt (Watt Mountain) is a stratovolcano in the south of the island of Dominica. It rises to a height of 1,224 m (4,016 ft) and is the third highest peak in Dominica. A major eruption from Morne Watt producing pyroclastic flows took place about 1300 years ago. A moderately large phreatic eruption took place at the Valley of Desolation thermal area NE of Morne Watt in 1880, when volcanic ash fell over a 4-km-wide sector at the coast, 10 km from the vent.
