Buku Mera

Buku Mera is a village situated midways up a mountain range, in the East Timor Liquiçá district. The village is located to the south east of the Liquiçá township, halfway between Liquiçá and Bazartete. During September 1999, the village suffered numerous cases of rape and murder at the hands of the Besi Merah Putih militia.

Bazartete

Bazartete (also known as Bazar Tete) is a village in East Timor, comprising a subdistrict of Liquiçá district, located on a mountain top deep in the rain forest, just to the southeast of Liquiçá township. The area and its surrounding villages was the site of numerous cases of intimidation, rape and murder committed by members of the Besi Merah Putih militia group following and during the autonomy vote of 1999.

Ermera (Vila Ermera) is a city and subdistrict in Ermera District, East Timor. It has a population of 13,142. Its geographical coordinates are {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:8|45|8|S|125|23|49|E|region:TL_type:city | |name= }}, and it lies 1,195 metres above sea level. Ermera's center lies in the Suco of Poetete.
