Anshas

Anshas is a city East of Cairo located in the Sharkiya Governorate in the Nile Delta of Egypt. It holds the first experimental nuclear reactor to be operated in Egypt, the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority Experimental Farm, unauthorized IAEA. The City also holds the First Arab League Summit in 1949, which declared the creation of the League.

Leontopolis (Heliopolis)

Leontopolis is the Greek name for the modern area of Tell el Yehudiye or Tell el-Yahudiya. It was an ancient city of Egypt in the 13th nome of Lower Egypt, on the Pelusiac branch of the Nile. The site includes some earthwork enclosures of the late Middle Kingdom or Second Intermediate Period, containing a temple and palace of Ramesses II. There are also cemeteries from the Middle Kingdom and later.

Bilbeis

Bilbeis is an ancient fortress city on the eastern edge of the southern Nile delta in Egypt. The city played a role in the machinations for control of the Fatimid vizierate: first in 1164, when Shirkuh was besieged in the city by the combined forces of Shiwar and Amalric I of Jerusalem for three months; then again in 1168 when the city was assaulted again by Amalric's army, who took the city after three days on November 4 and indiscriminately killed the inhabitants.
