Saaremaa

Saare County

Saare County, or Saaremaa, (Latin: Osilia or Oesel) is one of 15 counties of Estonia. It consists of Saaremaa (Ösel), the largest island of Estonia, and several smaller islands near them, most notably Muhu, Ruhnu, Abruka and Vilsandi. The county borders Lääne County to the east and Hiiu County to the north. 34,723 people live in Saare County – constituting 2.6% of the total population in Estonia (as of January 2009).

Tõru

TORU system is a manual docking system of Russian Soyuz and Progress spacecraft that serves as a backup to the automatic Kurs system http://www. hightechscience. org/toru. htm. It was used on the former Mir and Salyut space stations and is currently in use on the International Space Station. The TORU system became known to the public in 1997 when it was used during the manual approach of Progress M-34 to Mir that ended up with a dangerous collision.
