Hiirenvesi

Hiirenvesi is a lake of Finland. It is located in the former municipality of Eno, now part of Joensuu in the North Karelia region in eastern Finland. The lake is part of Vuoksi basin in eastern Finland, that drains into the Lake Ladoga, which in turn is part of the Neva River basin in Russia.

Eno, Finland

Eno is a former municipality of Finland, now part of Joensuu. It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the North Karelia region. The municipality had a population of 6,764 (as of January 1, 2006) and covered an area of 1,088.25 km² of which 149.30 km² is water. The population density was 6.2 inhabitants per km². Eno railway station is the first station north of Joensuu on the railway between Joensuu and Nurmes. The municipality was unilingually Finnish.

Eno railway station

Eno railway station is situated in Eno, North Karelia, Finland. This rural station is the first stop north of Joensuu station on the VR railway line between Joensuu and Nurmes. The station is normally only served by two passenger trains each way every day.

Koitajoki

The Koita River is a river in Eastern Finland and partly in Russia in Northern Europe. Having its origin just by the international boundary in Ilomantsi of Northern Karelia in Finland, the Koita River enters the territory of the Republic of Karelia in Russia, to return in Finland some 30 kilometres further south. It then flows northwest through the Petkeljärvi National Park and the Kesonsuo bog area, and further downstream receives the outflow from Lake Koitere.

Pamilo hydroelectric power plant

The Pamilo hydroelectric power plant is a power station in Eno, Finland that supplies electricity to Finland. It was opened in 1955. It is notable for being Vattenfall's largest hydroelectric power plant in Finland, with an installed generating capacity of 84 megawatts across three units and produces 256 gigawatt hours per year. It is fed with water from the Lower-Koita River and Lake Koitere across a catchment area of 6,550 square kilometres.
