Château de Bouxwiller
Château de Bouxwiller was a château situated in the département of Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France. The Wasserberg type fortress was constructed in the 15th century. Remodeled many times, the chateau served more as a residence than a military post. In the 18th century, its attractive and terraced French-styled gardens were very well known. However, the original building did not survive the destruction of the French Revolution.

Château de Lichtenberg
The Château de Lichtenberg is a castle built on a singular prominence in the northern Vosges in the Bas-Rhin department in Alsace in northeastern France. The castle was built in the 13th century by the Hanau-Lichtenberg family, and was in the center of a constantly shifting territory, which traded hands many times until the Franco-Prussian War in 1870, when it was partly destroyed by artillery fire and the resulting fires. It was left to deteriorate for 120 years.

Wasenbourg, located 400 metres in height on the northwest hillside of Reisberg, is a ruined castle in the North Vosges. Although its origins are fairly obscure, the historians attribute generally its construction, by 1273, to Conrad de Lichtenberg, then bishop of Strasbourg.
