Klevener de Heiligenstein

Klevener de Heiligenstein is a designation used on Alsace wine made from pink-skinned Savagnin Rose grapes, a variety in the Traminer family, but which is less aromatic than Gewürztraminer, which is widely planted in Alsace. The designation may be allowed for selected vineyards in the villages Bourgheim, Gertwiller, Goxwiller, Heiligenstein and Obernai but, under current appellation rules, the designation may be used until 2021 for specified existing vineyards outside of the designation area.

Château du Landsberg

The Château du Landsberg is a castle in the commune of Heiligenstein in the Bas-Rhin département in Alsace, France. Construction dates from the 12th, 13th and 15th centuries. The land belonged to the Abbey of Niedersmunster. The castle is privately owned. It has been listed since 1965 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

Château de Spesbourg

The Château de Spesbourg is a castle that dominates the valley above the village of Andlau, in the Bas-Rhin département of France. The castle was constructed between 1246 and 1250 by Alexander of Stahleck-Dicka, Vogt to Andlau Abbey. In 1386 it became the property of the family von Andlau. In the 16th century angry locals set fire to the castle after one of the lords seduced a village girl. The castle fell into ruin after the Hundred Years War.
