Saint-Flour Cathedral

Saint-Flour Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Flour de Saint-Flour) is a Roman Catholic cathedral, and French national monument, located in the town of Saint-Flour in the Auvergne. It is the seat of the Bishops of Saint-Flour. It is a Gothic structure, built between 1398 and 1466.

Garabit viaduct

The Garabit Viaduct (Viaduc de Garabit in French) is a railway arch bridge spanning the River Truyère near Ruynes-en-Margeride, Cantal, France, in the mountainous Massif Central region. The bridge was constructed between 1882 and 1884 by Gustave Eiffel, with structural engineering by Maurice Koechlin, and was opened in 1885. It is 565 m in length and has a principal arch of 165 m span.

Château d'Alleuze

The Château d'Alleuze is a ruined castle situated in the commune of Alleuze, in the Cantal département of France. Built in the 13th century by the constables of Auvergne, it belonged to the bishops of Clermont. During the Hundred Years War it was seized for the English by Bernard de Garlan. For seven years, he sowed terror throughout the region, pillaging and holding to ransom. To avoid troubles from any Garlan successors, the inhabitants of Saint-Flour burned down the castle in 1405.

Lac de Grandval

Lac de Grandval is a lake in Cantal, France. At an elevation of 742 m, its surface area is 11 km². The lake lies in the communes of Alleuze, Faverolles and Fridefont; at its western end is the hydroelectric dam, between Lavastrie and Fridefont.

Château de Saint-Ilpize

The Château de Saint-Ilpize is a ruined castle in the commune of Saint-Ilpize in the Haute-Loire département of France. The medieval town of Saint-Ilpize clings to a basalt rock on which stands the castle. Within the castle's walls is a 14th century chapel built of polychromatic tufa; a basalt gable wall houses the church bells.
