Train Touristique du Cotentin

The Train Touristique du Cotentin is a heritage railway and voluntary association in Basse-Normandie, France. The railway runs between Barneville-Carteret and Portbail on part of the former railway line linking Carentan to Barneville-Carteret in Cotentin. The railway began as the Association Tourisme et Chemins de fer de la Manche in 1982. The association has a set itself the task of preserving railway heritage in the Cotentin.

Château de Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte

The Château de Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte is a ruined castle in the commune of Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte in the Manche département of France. The castle, dating from the 11th and 12th centuries, was besieged twice during the Hundred Years' War. The remains consist of a fortified enceinte with towers and a massive keep. The castle is open to the public. It has been listed since 1840 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture. \t\t \t\t\tSaint-Sauveur-le Vicomte (Château).

Cotentin Peninsula

The Cotentin Peninsula, also known as the Cherbourg Peninsula, is a peninsula in Normandy that forms part of the northwest coast of France. It extends north-westward into the English Channel, towards Great Britain. To its west lie the Channel Islands and to the southwest lies the Brittany Peninsula.
