Cap Sizun

The Cap Sizun is a headland forming the western extremity of the Cornouaille, in the French département of Finistère in Brittany, corresponding to the canton of Pont-Croix. The best known sites in this region are the pointe du Raz, the pointe du Van, and, between these two points, the baie des Trépassés. The Cap Sizun reaches out into the Atlantic Ocean, bordered to the north by the baie de Douarnenez, and to the south by the baie d'Audierne.

Cap de la Chèvre

The cap de la Chèvre is the southernmost point of the Crozon peninsula in western Brittany in France. Facing south, it faces the north side of cap Sizun and closes off the baie de Douarnenez. Consisting of heath, heather and maritime pines, this headland maintains a savage appearance and magnificent countryside, along with several little villages with stone-built houses typical of the region.

Tristan Island

Tristan Island or the Île Tristan is located at the mouth of the Pouldavid Estuary off the French port of Douarnenez in south-western Brittany. It is only about 450 m long and 250 m wide but despite its small size, it has a rich history, especially since the Middle Ages when a priory was built there. In the 19th century, it became famous as the site of the first canning factory for sardines fished in the Bay of Douarnenez. It is also closely associated with Breton legends and the island of Ys.

Pointe du Van

The Pointe du Van is a promontory that extends into the Atlantic from western Brittany, in France. The local Breton name is Beg ar Vann. It is located in the commune of Plogoff, Finistère.
