Dol Cathedral

Dol Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Samson de Dol) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Dol-de-Bretagne, Brittany, dedicated to Saint Samson. It was formerly the seat of the Archbishop of Dol, one of the nine ancient bishoprics of Brittany. The archbishopric was suppressed during the French Revolution and abolished by the Concordat of 1801, when it was merged into the dioceses of Rennes and St. Brieuc.

Menhir de Champ-Dolent

The menhir of Champ Dolent is the largest menhir erected in Brittany. Located in the city of Dol-de-Bretagne, it measures nearly 10 m high. It has been registered as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture since 1889.

Pointe du Grouin

The rocky finger of the Pointe du Grouin points out and protects the entrance into the bay of Mont Saint-Michel. On this headland, a Grande Randonnée runs around hugging the cliff face and there is a circular walk starting out from Cancale. On their way the walker can enjoy views of the Île des Landes a long barren outcrop (now a bird sanctuary), the lighthouse, the Îles Chausey, Granville on the Normandy coast, and, on a clear day, the outline of Mont Saint-Michel.
