HWU transmitter

HWU transmitter is a French facility for transmitting orders to submerged submarines of the French Navy. HWU transmitter, situated near Rosnay at 46°42'47"N, 1°14'39"E, is one of the largest radio transmitters in France and is clearly visible on satellite pictures. It uses an antenna carried by several 350 metre tall guyed masts, which are, together with the masts of Allouis longwave transmitter, the tallest structures in France. HWU transmitter works on 18.3 kHz, 20.9 kHz and 21.7 kHz.

Parc naturel régional de la Brenne

The Parc naturel régional de la Brenne is an 1,672 km large Parc naturel régional located in the Indre département of France. It was founded December 22, 1982. Of old, La Brenne was a region in the old French provinces of Berry and Touraine, west of Châteauroux and east of Tournon-Saint-Martin. The park is cut in two by the Creuse River. Through the southern half flows the Anglin River. Historically, the southern part of the regional park is not really part of La Brenne.

Château d'Azay-le-Ferron

The Château d'Azay-le-Ferron is a 15th-century castle and 17th-century manor located in the commune of Azay-le-Ferron in the Indre département of France. It features a garden à la française and a French landscape garden dating to the 17th century, redone in the 19th and 20th century. The interior is richly furnished. The château is owned by the city of Tours and is open to the public. The castle is classified as a Monument historique since 1950

Indrois
