Notre-Dame de Signy Abbey
Notre-Dame de Signy Abbey (Abbey of Our Lady of Signy) was a Cistercian abbey located in the town of Signy-l'Abbaye, Ardennes, France. It is located about 65 kilometres northeast of Reims and about 28 kilometres west of Charleville-Mézières on the edge of the Froidmont forest. It was founded on March 25 1135, the feast day of the Annunciation. It was sold as national property in 1793 and completely demolished. Its library was burned.

Battle of Rocroi
The Battle of Rocroi was fought on 19 May 1643 - mere days after the passing of Louis XIII of France that left his five-year old son Louis XIV of France on the throne - late in the Thirty Years' War. It resulted in a victory of the French army under the Duc d'Enghien, against the Spanish army under General Francisco de Melo. Further, it is considered the turning point of the perceived invincibility of the Spanish tercio.
