Jardin botanique de Marnay-sur-Seine

The Jardin botanique de Marnay-sur-Seine (2 hectares) is a botanical garden located on the Chemin des Gougins, Marnay-sur-Seine, Aube, Champagne-Ardenne, France. It is open daily in the warmer months; an admission fee is charged. The garden was founded in 1995, construction started in 1998, in 2000 the garden opened to the public, and in 2002 it was designated a Jardin Botanique de France. Its conservatory of local flora opened in 2003, and in 2007 it published an index seminum.

Oratory of the Paraclete

The Oratory of the Paraclete is a Benedictine monastery founded by Peter Abelard in Ferreux-Quincey, France, after he left the Abbey of St. Denis about 1121. However, nothing remains of the Oratory. In 1125 he was elected by the monks of the Abbey at Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys, near Vannes, Brittany, to be their abbot, so he turned the Paraclete over to Heloise, his wife, who had been in a convent in Argenteuil since taking the veil.

Aubetin

The Aubetin is a 61.2 km long river in the Marne and Seine-et-Marne départements, northeastern France. Its source is at Les Essarts-le-Vicomte, 20 km northeast of Nogent-sur-Seine. It flows generally west-northwest. It is a left tributary of the Grand Morin into which it flows at Pommeuse, 5 km west of Coulommiers.
