Madeleine is a river in eastern France, in the Territoire de Belfort département. It is 25 km long, and its basin area is 92 km². It begins in the Vosges mountains, near the commune of Lamadeleine-Val-des-Anges. It joins the river Saint-Nicolas in the village Bretagne at 340 m above sea level to form the river Bourbeuse. The river Bourbeuse is a tributary to the river Allan, which is a tributary to the river Doubs.

Belfort Cathedral
Belfort Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Christophe de Belfort) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Belfort, and has been a national monument of France since 1930. The building that is now the cathedral was built as a church between 1727 and 1750 by the businessman Henri Schuller (or Shuler) (whose son was later a canon here) to plans by Jacques Philippe Mareschal, king's engineer at Strasbourg. It was built of red sandstone excavated from the quarry at Offremont, three kilometres from Belfort.

Roman Catholic Diocese of Belfort-Montbéliard
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Belfort-Montbéliard, is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic church in France. Erected in November 1979, the diocese was split off from the Archdiocese of Besançon and remains a suffragan of the parent diocese. The diocese corresponds to the department of Belfort, in the region of Franche-Comté. The current bishop is Claude Schockert, appointed in March 2000.

Etangs de Bonfol
Etangs de Bonfol are a series of ponds at Bonfol in the Canton of Jura, Switzerland. The main ponds are named "étang du Milieu" and "Neuf-Etang". They are separated by a dam. Since 1962, the étangs de Bonfol are a nature preserve. They are listed in the Federal Inventory of Amphibian Spawning Areas (2001), and, together with the étang at Vendlincourt, in the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments (1977). The ponds were developed by bishop of Basel for fishing.
