Château de Robert-le-Diable

The Château de Robert-le-Diable is a French feudal castle from the time of the Dukes of Normandy. It is more properly, though less commonly, known as the Château de Moulineaux. It is situated at Moulineaux, near Rouen, in the département of Seine-Maritime at the side of the A13 autoroute. It takes its name from Robert the Devil who, according to some, was Robert de Montgommery, also known as Robert le Magnifique ('the magnificent'), Duke of Normandy and father of William the Conqueror.

Eure (river)

The Eure is a river in northern France, left tributary of the Seine. It rises at Marchainville in the Orne département and joins the Seine near Pont-de-l'Arche. Two départements are named after the Eure, namely Eure and Eure-et-Loir. Places along the river: Orne (61): Marchainville, La Lande-sur-Eure, Neuilly-sur-Eure. Eure-et-Loir (28): Courville-sur-Eure, Saint-Georges-sur-Eure, Fontenay-sur-Eure, Chartres, Saint-Prest, Maintenon, Nogent-le-Roi, Mézières-en-Drouais, Cherisy, Anet.

Iton

The Iton is a river in Normandy, France, left tributary of the river Eure. Its source is near Moulins-la-Marche. For about 10 km between Orvaux and Glisolles, it disappears and pursues a subterranean course. The Iton flows through the following départements and towns: Orne: Crulai, Chandai Eure: Bourth, Damville, La Bonneville-sur-Iton, Évreux Its length is 132 km and it flows into the Eure in Acquigny, south of Louviers.
