1973 Paris Air Show crash

The 1973 Paris Air Show crash was the crash of the second production Tupolev Tu-144 at Goussainville, Val-d'Oise, France, which killed all six crew and a further eight people on the ground. The crash, at the Paris Air Show on 3 June 1973, damaged the development program of the Tupolev Tu-144. One theory is that a French Mirage jet sent to photograph the aircraft without the knowledge of the Russian crew caused the pilots to take evasive maneuvers, resulting in the crash.

Air France Flight 4590

Air France Flight 4590 was a Concorde flight operated by Air France which was scheduled to fly from Charles de Gaulle International Airport near Paris, to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. On 25 July 2000, it crashed into a hotel in Gonesse, France. All one hundred passengers and nine crew members on board the flight died. On the ground, four people were killed and one seriously injured.

Paris–Le Bourget Airport

Paris–Le Bourget Airport (French: Aéroport de Paris-Le Bourget) is an airport located at Le Bourget, in the districts of Bonneuil-en-France and Dugny, 6 NM north-northeast (NNE) of Paris, France. It is now used only for general aviation and air shows, most notably the Paris Air Show. The airport started commercial operations in 1919 and was Paris's only airport until the construction of Orly Airport in 1932.

Parc des Expositions (Paris RER)

Parc des Expositions is a station on the RER B's Airport branch. It is situated in the town of Villepinte in the Seine-Saint-Denis department and serves the Paris-Nord convention centre. The station is located at kilometere 21.01 of the airport branch of the RER B (branch B3). As part of the RER B upgrade, an additional platform is due to be built. The station sees services between Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Robinson or Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse via Gare du Nord in Paris.

Japan Expo is a convention on Japanese popular culture - the largest of its kind in Europe - taking place in Paris, France, although it has branched out into a partnership festival Kultima and expanded to include some European and US pop culture as well. It is held yearly in the beginning of July, for four days (usually from Thursday to Sunday), in the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte (second-largest convention center in France).
