Château de Durfort

The Château de Durfort is a ruined castle in the commune of Vignevieille in the Aude département of France. It is 27 km east of Limoux and 3 km north of the Château de Termes. It was erected on a rocky piton which overlooks the valley of the Orbieu. The present ruins are those of a strengthened habitat, including a chapel, dwellings with rectangular windows and a tower.

Château d'Auriac

The Château d'Auriac is a ruined castle in the commune of Auriac in the Aude département of France. The castle dates from the 11th and 12th centuries. The castle is owned by the commune and the state. It has been listed since 1948 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

The Abbey of St. Mary of Lagrasse is a Romanesque Benedictine abbey in Lagrasse, southern France, whose origins date to the 7th century. It is located in Languedoc, near the Corbières massif, c. 35 km from Carcassonne.

Peyrepertuse

Peyrepertuse (or Pierre Pertuse) is a ruined fortress and one of the so-called Cathar castles located high in the French Pyrénées in the commune of Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse, in the Aude département, and has been associated with the Counts of Narbonne and Barcelona. It stands at 800m high. The name of Peyrepetuse derived from the ancient language called Occitan and means Pierced Rock.
