The Oppidum d’Altimurium, also known as the Oppidum Murviel-les-Montpellier, is an ancient hill-town near the village of Murviel-lès-Montpellier, France, located between Montpellier and Béziers. The site, which overlooks the Montpellier garrigue at 190m altitude and covers about 20 hectares, is one of the largest hill forts in the region, on par with those of Ensérune or Ambrussum. Loupian Roman villa
Loupian Roman villa is in the village of Loupian in the Hérault départment of France, between Montpellier and Béziers, the heart of Gallia Narbonensis. Excavations on a three-hectare site south of the village have revealed remains of a Roman farm villa with extensive 2nd-century gallo-roman mosaics. The site was occupied for more than 600 years.

Canal du Rhône à Sète
The Canal du Rhône à Sète (lit. "canal from the Rhône to Sète") is a canal in southern France, which connects the Étang de Thau in Sète to the Rhône River in Beaucaire, Gard. At the entrance to the Étang de Thau, the canal connects with the Canal du Midi. The canal is made of previously constructed canals Canal des Ètangs and Canal de Beaucaire. There is, however, no access to the Rhône at Beaucaire as the lock has been closed for many years.

Canal de Beaucaire
The Canal de Beaucaire was a canal in southern France. It is now part of the Canal du Rhône à Sète along with the Canal des Ètangs. The originator was to be the Marshal de Noailles. However he did nothing and his concession was revoked. It was then granted to a company formed by Marshal de Richelieu, but again, nothing was accomplished until the state of Languedoc took over. Construction was finally begun in 1777 and completed in 1808. It was to connect the city of Aigues-Mortes to the Rhone.
