Lez (river)

The Lez is a coastal river in Hérault département, France. It is the main river crossing Montpellier. The river has its source in Saint-Clément-de-Rivière and flows to the Mediterranean Sea at Palavas-les-Flots. The fish Cottus petiti is found only in a short stretch of this river.

Oppidum d'Altimurium

The Oppidum d’Altimurium, also known as the Oppidum Murviel-les-Montpellier, is an ancient hill-town near the village of Murviel-lès-Montpellier, France, located between Montpellier and Béziers. The site, which overlooks the Montpellier garrigue at 190m altitude and covers about 20 hectares, is one of the largest hill forts in the region, on par with those of Ensérune or Ambrussum. It was founded in the 2nd century BC, and was protected by a 1st century BC wall almost 2 km long.

Stade de la Mosson

Stade de la Mosson is a football stadium in Montpellier, France. It is the home of Montpellier HSC and has a capacity of 32,900. Formerly a 16,000-seater stadium, it was entirely rebuilt in 1998 to host 6 games of the 1998 FIFA World Cup. It was also used as a venue for group stage matches in the 2007 Rugby World Cup. On Saturday 9 June 2012, the stadium will host rugby league for the first time.
