Oppidum de Roque de Viou
The Oppidum de Roque de Viou is on a hilltop overlooking the valley called the Vaunage, above the village of Nages-et-Solorgues, in Gard, between Nîmes et Sommières, in Languedoc-Rousillon, France. It is in the commune of Saint-Dionizy and is one of six iron-age oppida in the Vaunage; about 200m from the Oppidum de Nages or Oppidum des Castels. It was occupied in three periods between 700 BCE and 600 BCE and between 350 BCE and 300 BCE and around 50 BCE.

Château de Saint-Chaptes
The Château de Saint-Chaptes is a modernised castle in the commune of Saint-Chaptes in the Gard département of France. The medieval castle was built in the 13th century and modified in the 15th and 17th centuries. Protected by towers, it was surrounded by moats which have now been filled. The exact date of construction is unclear, but it is known that the castle was pillaged in 1217. In 1623, it was enlarged for the stay of Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu to prepare for the Peace of Alais.

Carré d'Art
The Carré d'art at Nîmes in southern France houses a museum of contemporary art and the city's library. Constructed of glass, concrete and steel, it faces the Maison Carrée, a perfectly preserved Roman temple that dates from the 1st century BC. In 1984, twelve architects, including Frank Gehry, Jean Nouvel and César Pelli were invited to submit proposals for the museum. A design by the British architect Norman Foster was selected, and the building was opened in May 1993.
