Château de Mousson

The Château de Mousson is a ruined castle in the commune of Mousson in the Meurthe-et-Moselle département of France. Until the 13th century, the Château de Mousson was the residence of the Counts of Mousson. On the summit of a hill, it overlooked the valleys of the Seille and the Moselle. It has not resisted the ravages of time, wars and, above all, Cardinal Richelieu. The 17th century was fatal to the fortress at Mousson.

Toul-Rosières Air Base

It is located in the Meurthe-et-Moselle département of France, 10 miles northeast of the city of Toul, on the west side of the Route nationale 411 (N411) Highway about one mile southeast of Rosières-en-Haye. Toul Air Base was used by American fighter and bomber aircraft during World War II.

Red Lands

The Red Lands form a geographic region in southern and south-western Luxembourg. They are so called for their red iron-laden earth. The Red Lands roughly correspond with the southern part of the canton of Esch-sur-Alzette, along the border with France.
