Château de Cambiac

The Château de Cambiac is a 15th century castle in the commune of Cambiac in the Haute-Garonne département of France. Originally a vast 15th century residence, it was probably constructed on the foundations of an earlier structure. It was given to the sieur Milhau, constable of Montauban, by Marguerite de Navarre. At the end of the 19th century, massive restoration works gave the castle an extra floor and a pavilion. A Louis XII style was incorporated both inside and out.

Battle of Tafalla

At the Battle of Tafalla, García Sánchez III of Navarre defeated his brother, Ramiro I of Aragon, who was invading his kingdom, near Tafalla. Allied with García was his brother Ferdinand I of Castile, and Ramiro brought with him his Moorish allies, the kings of the taifas of Zaragoza, Tudela, and Huesca.

Château de Vallègue

The Château de Vallègue is a mediaeval castle in the commune of Vallègue in the Haute-Garonne département of France. The castle is the best preserved part of the ancient fortified village, mentioned since 1273 as a royal possession. It was sold several times during the 19th century. Containing disparate elements from different epochs, it owes its unity to the long north façade. Of particular note are the walls (both outside and in), the roofs, the mediaeval vaulted cellar and grain stores.

Château de Fourquevaux

The Château de Fourquevaux was originally a 15th century castle in the commune of Fourquevaux in the Haute-Garonne département of France. It was modified in the 16th century. An orangery was added in the last quarter of the 18th century. Privately owned, it has been listed since 1979 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

Négra Lock

Négra Lock (French: écluse de Négra) is a single chamber lock on the Canal du Midi near the village of Villefranche-de-Lauragais in Languedoc, France. There is a small chapel at the lock and also a small red-brick aqueduct which carries the canal over the Thésauque, a tributary of the Hers. Négra Lock is at an altitude of 166m and is ascending when travelling west - east. The adjacent locks are Laval Lock to the east and Sanglier Lock to the west.
