Pierre Percée

The Pierre Percée is a natural arch located on a hill of Matheysine, in the Isère département, upon the commune of Pierre-Châtel. It belongs to the so-called Seven Wonders of Dauphiné. Internal gap is 3m. high. Overall aspect evokes the one of a crouching monster and has been the origin of many local legends, where the Devil is usually involved.

Belledonne

Belledonne (French: La chaine de Belledonne) is a mountain range in the Dauphiné Alps (part of the French Alps) in southeast France. The southern end of the range forms the eastern wall of the mountains that surround the city of Grenoble. The range is noted for the spectacular scenery it provides the inhabitants of Grenoble, numerous ski areas, interesting geology, and a diverse range of alpine land types and uses.

Vercors Plateau

The Vercors is a range of plateaux and mountains in the départements of Isère and Drôme in the French Prealps. It lies west of the Dauphiné Alps, from which it is separated by the rivers Drac and Isère. Cliffs at its eastern edge face the city of Grenoble. The plateau's karstic area includes the famous Vercors Cave System which includes Gouffre Berger. The Vercors has several resorts for cross-country skiing and for down-hill skiing. Villard-de-Lans is the biggest down-hill ski resort.
