Ossetian Military Road
The Ossetian Military Road was constructed, between 1854 and 1889, by Imperial Russian authorities in the Caucasus. Kvaisi or Kvaisa is an urban-type settlement (promoted to the city by the South Ossetian government in 2007) in the Dzau district of South Ossetia, Georgia. According to the official subdivision of Georgia it is in the Oni district of the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region of Georgia. First city major - Chermen Gagiev.
