Poltringen

Poltringen is a village in the centre of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is part of the Ammerbuch municipality since 1971. It has a population of 1 708 on an area of 4,84 km². Poltringen lies in the valley of the small Ammer river, a tributary of the Neckar, in the Tübingen district, almost equidistant between the towns of Herrenberg to the west and Tübingen to the east, about 10 km from both.

Poltringen Airfield

Poltringen Airfield is a private airfield located in Poltringen, which belongs to the town of Ammerbuch, Germany. It is located 9 kilometres west of Tübingen and 31 kilometres southwest of Stuttgart. It is only open to airplanes and gliders of the aviation clubs Ammerbuch, Herrenberg and Unterjesingen. Exceptions must be approved by the administration of the Tübingen region. The airfield traffic pattern for airplanes is west of the airfield at 2700 ft.

The Botanischer Garten der Universität Tübingen, also known as the Botanischer Garten Tübingen or the Neuer Botanischer Garten Tübingen, is a botanical garden and arboretum maintained by the University of Tübingen. It is located at Hartmeyerstrasse 123, Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and open daily. The garden traces back to 1535 when medicinal plants were first grown by Leonhart Fuchs (1501-1566).
