Schönrain Priory (Kloster Schönrain) was a house of the Benedictine Order located near Lohr in the Spessart, in Bavaria in Southern Germany. The Langenprozelten Pumped Storage Station is a pumped storage power power station near Gemünden am Main at the Main in the under-Frankish district Main Spessart, which went in service in 1976. The hydro-electric power plant has an output of 180 MW. It uses two Francis turbines. The upper reservoir is nearly 300 meters higher than the lower reservoir and is connected with ist by one for about 1.3 km long pipes. The maximum head is 320 m.

Up from the Ground was an extreme metal festival held annually in August in Gemünden am Main/Steinwiesen, Germany from 2000. The 2007 edition took place on August 24-August 25 and was the last edition of the festival. There was no festival in 2008, and the event's future is very much in doubt owing to the promoters' fears arising from, among other things, what they consider to be a poor location.
