Aschaffenburg Central Station

Aschaffenburg Central Station (Aschaffenburg Hauptbahnhof) is a railway station in Aschaffenburg in Germany. The station was built in 1854 by the Ludwigs-West-Bahn. It remained largely unchanged until destroyed in a 1944 air raid, after which it was rebuilt in the style typical for the 1950s. In 1974, passenger service ended on the "Bachgaubahn" railway line between Aschaffenburg and Höchst (Odenwald), including service to nearby Großostheim. The route was replaced by bus service.

Schloss Johannisburg

Schloss Johannisburg is a castle in Aschaffenburg, Germany that was erected between 1605 and 1614 by Georg Ridinger. Until 1803, it was the second residence of the Prince Bishop of Mainz. It is constructed of red sandstone, the typical building material of the area around Aschaffenburg. The castle is one of the main attractions of Aschaffenburg and its landmark. It is located in the center of the city, overlooking the waterside of the river Main.
