Jänschwalde Power Station

Jänschwalde Power Station is located near the village of Jänschwalde in Brandenburg on the German-Polish border. The lignite-fired power station has an installed capacity of 3,000 megawatts and consists of six 500 MW units. It is the second-largest brown coal power plant in operation in Germany and is owned by Swedish state-owned Vattenfall. The power station was built between 1976 and 1989.

Gubin, Poland

Gubin is a town in Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship southwestern Poland. Located on the right bank of the Lusatian Neisse River, it has a population of 15,000 inhabitants (2005). It was of the Zielona Góra Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. The Polish-German rail and road border crossings are connected with the German city of Guben, of which Gubin was the eastern part until 1945.

Gubinek

Gubinek is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gubin, within Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border. It lies approximately 2 kilometres south of Gubin, 29 km south-west of Krosno Odrzańskie, and 55 km west of Zielona Góra. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. Schlaube Valley Nature Park

Schlaube Valley Nature Park is a nature park and reserve in the state of Brandenburg, Germany. It covers an area of 225 km² (87 sq mi). It was established on December 27, 1995. With a surface area of 1.32 km² the Großer Müllroser See, which is flown through by the river Schlaube, is its largest lake.
