Lower Lusatian Heath Nature Park

The Lower Lusatian Heath Nature Park (German: Naturpark Niederlausitzer Heidelandschaft) is a nature park and reserve in the state of Brandenburg, Germany. It covers an area of 490 km² (189 sq mi). It was established on May 24 1996. In the south, where Brandenburg's oldest landscape is found, the area was formed approximately 180,000 years ago at the end of the ice age, with its glacial valley. Among the ice-age deposits are massive coal layers.

Torgau-Oschatz

Torgau-Oschatz is a former district (Kreis) in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It was bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the district Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt, the district Elbe-Elster in Brandenburg, and the districts Riesa-Großenhain, Döbeln, Muldentalkreis and Delitzsch.

Deutschlandsender Herzberg/Elster

The Deutschlandsender Herzberg/Elster was a 500 kilowatt long-wave transmitter at Herzberg/Elster, which was in service from 1939 to 1945. It used a 337 metre high guyed steel lattice mast of triangular cross section. This was used as a mast radiator and was therefore mounted on a 0.75 metre high steatite insulator. At the top of the mast there was a lens-like structure with a diameter of 25 metres and a height of 4 metres.
