Paretz

Paretz is a village in the German state of Brandenburg in the district of Havelland, west of Berlin. Recently, a district reform made Paretz into a borough of the city of Ketzin. It has a population of approximately 400. In the late 18th and early 19th centuries the village was the summer residence King Frederick William III of Prussia and of his wife Queen Louise.

1936 Summer Olympics

The 1936 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XI Olympiad, was an international multi-sport event that was held in 1936 in Berlin, Germany. Berlin won the bid to host the Games over Barcelona, Spain, on 26 April 1931, at the 29th IOC Session in Barcelona (two years before the Nazis came to power). It marked the second and final time that the International Olympic Committee would gather to vote in a city which was bidding to host those Games.

Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces

The Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces is a research institute for colloids, located in Golm (Potsdam), Germany. It was founded in 1990 as a successor of the Institute for Physical Chemistry and for Organic Chemistry in Berlin-Adlershof and of for Polymer Chemistry in Teltow.
